griping about 1 1/4 groups with the kind of groups I have been getting is like turning down a free million dollers! Glad you got it zeroed in. Hope one day I can say "hey everybody it shoots constant 1 1/4 groups"! 5 powders, four different bullets, 4 primers, three different cases and a million loads and I still have nothing that will group at all. When I shoot 5 shots and get a 1.5 group, next time the same is 3" or 3.5 0r 4". Oh well back to work!

What maker on the barrel? I was thinking a 1-11 twist for my '06 and 25" and 5 contour! What maker did you do with? FNMauser Strike while the iron is hot! Chaz: Gerat job w/the new load. I'm still toying with my .06 load.I've been told by many that ~1"groups is great out of a hunting rifle, but when I get 1/2" out of my .270Win why should I settle for less. Still trying to get the Barnes TSX 30.06 168gr to do better but the loads I have so far are still grouping at or about 1-1.5" with Barnes best load in their book. We will keep cooking to se what we can come up with. Good luckto you this season. Taz "si vos non ago pro quispiam, vos intero nusquam"

Hello the campfire: I have been trying to work up a load for y sons Ruger 77 Mark LL in 3006. Last wek at he range I tried another bum load, rouping so bad tha tI thought I had a bad scope of something. After running through several losds, I found several Remington Peters factory loads in the gun bag and shot some of those to see if the scope was out, or it was just me or what. I grouped two -3 shot groups under an inch. Go figure. The kicker is I dont know wht the load isbecause the box was gone and tey were several years old. I supect that they are 165 grain corelocks, but may be 180s. I am ging to pull one soon to find out. I know one thing, this ruger does not like 150 grain anythng. Judge Sharpe Is it safe to let for a 58 year old man run around in the woods unsupervised with a high powered rifle?
