Gents - For economy, could I expect a similar POI with these two bullets? Say, out to 400 yds? That way, I could blast the cheaper Hornadys at paper and hunt with Noslers without re-zeroing. Both are boat tails, but the Interbonds have a Tupperware tip. Concerned about terminal performance of those... Happy with Noslers. Thanks.

I would have to shoot the different bullet at even 100 yds to make sure of anything. Changing a bullet can change the powder burn quite a bit for just one instance. Join the NRA

Frankly I'd blast with the cheaper Hornady bullets and hunt with them as well....IMO they're a better bullet. If you want to target with X and hunt with Y....you're in for some bad experiences IMO. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Would you say the Interbonds are better than Partitions? That's what I'm really more familiar with; the Accubonds would be new too.

No bullet I know of has a longer history of success than the Nosler Partition....that said IMO the Hornady interbond is as good or better. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." FWIW...here's my approach for the 30 cal magnum...I no longer have a 338 Mag but was the same there.... I sight in and practice...I shoot a few jackrabbits and prairie dogs and other practice items using Hornady interlocks.....I also use them on deer. When it's time to go hunting big game I break out my box of 200 grain A-Frames...use three (or so) to confirm sight-in and go hunting. A-Frames are the pinnacle (closely followed by Northfork) of bullet making today...IMO It takes fewer than five shots to resight my rifle and off we go. My rifle shoots them within two inches of each other at 100 yards.....even if they was a foot apart it'd still only take a few shots to re-sight the rifle as both these bullets group well in my rifle. This way I have cheap bullets to play with and the best in the west to hunt with....it works for me. However shooting the Interbond all the time is about as good. Get a box of partitions, interbonds, accubonds and load a three shot group and go to the range....see how close they group to each other.....I'm guessing there won't be more than two inches between the worst of them. But you may throw out one or more of them simply for accuracy. In the end the answer is at the target range...not on the internet. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Ya think? I'm just researching an option before buying components. This "internet forum thing" is great for that! I don't trust everything I think I see, much less everything I read on the internet... Thanks for the help, all!

1 Shot, perhaps this is a little more on point...I helped my best hunting partner develop a load for his .338 WM, and with the interbond and accubond loaded as similarly as could be, they shot very closely at both 100 yards and 200 yards. EG, 8 shot group into total of about 1.5" at 100 yards--four of each bullet loaded the same, bullets/rounds shot in random order. At 200 yards, shot two seperate 4 shot groups at same bull, and all 8 rounds went into right at 2". The interbonds grouped slightly lower in total than the accubonds, when each 4 shot group was taken as an average. Hoper this helped--Don
