I have decides to have one of theise built on the 1999 Montana short action I have orderd. I have found some data in the archives. Those that have it, where did you get your dies?

I believe my gunsmith cut mine with the same reamer. The chamber is too tight and the dies are very touchy. I'd advise against it. Mine are both Redding, the seater being the 6.5 Ultra seater. I'll answer questions you , have but there are a few other guys that are smarter than me.

My dad's building one also, this is what you can use. I recommend getting a few bushings at .003", .002" and .001" smaller than neck dia. on a loaded round.

The 7mm WSM is .035" longer base to shoulder. than the 270 and 300 WSM, all having the same oal.

270 brass and Redding S dies with bushings will work fine with a 6.5mm carbide expander ball if needed. http://www.shortmags.org/shortmags/
