I'm about to start a new load for me 30.06.Winchester brass, 180grn core-lokt, the powders pre mentioned.I have on hand rem 9 1/2 primers which I have used up untill now with no problemo's but just read on another site "GunnersDen" to be precise that the rem. primer is considered a bit marginal for slower powders and that CCI200, Fed215 would give better shot to shot ignition being higher pressuer primers.Under the specific info for the 06 it is sugested that 4350/Rem 9 1/2 primer is regarded as a reliable accuracy combo. Can anyone shine light on this?

I don't load for a 06 but plenty of 280 based wildcats. I've never had an issue or problem using Rem 9 1/2 with RL 22 or 4350

As usual just my $.02

I don't use mag primers, even in mag cartridges...

Large rifle of any type have always more than done the job for me... regardless of load...

even igniting 83 grains of H 1000 in a 300 Win Mag, very reliably and accurately...

I shoot 180 grain Barnes TTSXs using IMR 4831 and simply use Fed 210 primers. Works everytime.

IMO you can use any primer you want in the .30-06....even magnum primers if you choose.

I've read that magnum primers are for more than 70 grains of powder and others say to use them with ball powders.....

It's the internet.....everyone has a voice....

In my experience they all (primers) have worked well....use what trips your trigger.
