Hi, I'm shooting 570g TSX's out of my 500 Jeffery at 2300 fps. Anyone know what the minimum reliable expansion velocity is for these bullets? At close range the expansion is pretty dramatic. You may want to call or email Barnes and ask them. I wanted to know the same thing about the 180 gr 30 cal TSX bullets and they said the minimum velocity is 1600 fps (if I remember correctly). I asked them various other questions and they were more than happy to answer. (435) 856-1000 Fax: (435) 856-1040 email@barnesbullets.com

It's already half an inch wide, how much more do you need? Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money." - Robert Ruark, Horn of the Hunter, 1953 NRA Life, SAF Life, CRPA Life, DRSS lite
