Does anyone have any personal data of the velocity that can be attained from the carbine with different bullets. I have two 9.3, 23.6"/26.0". I am thinking of turning the 26" into a 9.3x64 and possibly buying a CZ in the 20". I would like to know of some real experience with this barrel length. Thanks
I have the CZ......across the board with all of the different bullets...approx. 100-140 fps. I didn't feel that was too bad. I love that CZ. Good luck on your choice. Gary.

I know plenty of people have the CZ lux or American in this cal but is anyone the owner of this calibre in the Battue configuration?? And what is this model like??
Do you feel the 9.3x62 is better suited a short barrel of 20" or would it be better to have the full length version???

I want to thank everyone who replied. I have the CZ European with the 23.6" and the custom mauser with the 26". The difference between the two with the same load is 39' per sec. Thats why I was wanting someone with the 20" barrel that had chrono. Thanks again. fws
My hunting/shooting friend has 3-5 9.3x62 rifles with barrel lengths from 20 to 13 inches. He's a real Jew, he rabbi's everything he gets, just loves short barrels. E-mail me and I will give you his e-mail address. lb404
Yes, you heard right, he has been playing with a Dakota 97, blind magazine with a 26" barrel and recently Rabbied it to 22". He likes it that way! lb404
I have a Sako 9.3x62 20" full stock custom heavy barrel which is super accurate and I have chrono'ed all of the bullet weights . If you post more specifically what info you are looking for I'll try to help . The gun is not only extremely accurate but shoots a 286gr projectile with the recoil of a 06 shooting a 180 grainer . The drop in fps is about 25' less per inch as all the books tell you ; my 286gr load is 2245 fps with a sd of 7 and an es of 17 . The 20 incher is not for elk out to 300 yards but is a perfect rifle for deer / moose at 150 . Ralph
