In no particular order: Midway http://www.midwayusa.com/ Grafs http://www.grafs.com/ Natchez http://www.natchezss.com/ Cabelas http://www.cabelas.com/ Dillon Precision http://www.dillonprecision.com/ Lock, Stock, and Barrel http://www.lockstock.com/ Mid South Shooters Supply http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/ Huntingtons http://www.huntingtons.com/ Cheaper than Dirt http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ D & R Sports Center http://www.dnrsports.com/ Arms and Ammo http://www.armsandammo.com/ Sinclair http://www.sinclairintl.com/ Have I missed any companies that sell components on the web? This is my usual list if I need something I can't get locally. I have had surprises. Cabelas comes in cheapest ($31.99/50) for Hornady 458 caliber 500 grain FMJ-ENC bullets, and second cheapest for Hornady's 458-500 RN soft points ($22.49/50). Those softpoints are cheaper at D & R ($22.13/50), but good luck using their web site. It pays to use the search feature there, and to know the manufacturer's catalog number. The most expensive sources for those bullets charge $29.54 for the soft points (Cheaper than Dirt) and $52.25 for the FMJ's (Huntingtons). I once found the best deal on 1000 pieces of 45 auto brass at Sinclair's (I don't usually think of Sinclair and pistol in the same sentence). Anyhow, if I've missed a good supplier, please tell me. I kind of typed this in now so I could just click on links next time I go shopping. H. C.

Just off hand I see you don't have www.wideners.com listed. S&H is free on orders over $100.00. Usually, bottom line after figuring in S&H, www.grafs.com beats many vendors, as they have a flat handling charge of $3.75 for online orders and $4.75 if you call in. Shipping charges are already figured into their prices. Where other vendors show cheap prices online and in their catalogs you get stung heavily on S&H

I hadn't heard of Wideners. Believe it or not, Grafs didn't have the two bullets I was looking for this time. I wasn't aware of their cheap shipping. I'll give them a closer look next time. H. C.

Here they are alphabetical: Arms and Ammo http://www.armsandammo.com/ Cabelas http://www.cabelas.com/ Cheaper than Dirt http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ D & R Sports Center http://www.dnrsports.com/ Dillon Precision http://www.dillonprecision.com/ Gamaliel http://gamaliel.com/reloading/ Grafs http://www.grafs.com/ Huntingtons http://www.huntingtons.com/ Lock, Stock, and Barrel http://www.lockstock.com/ Makarov.com http://www.makarov.com/ Mid South Shooters Supply http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/ Midway http://www.midwayusa.com/ Natchez http://www.natchezss.com/ Pat's Reloading Supply http://www.patsreloading.com/patsrel/whatsnew.htm Powder Valley http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/ Sinclair http://www.sinclairintl.com/ Wideners http://www.wideners.com/ Woodchuck Den http://www.woodchuckden.com/ Actually, I have started stumbling on quite a few. If you go to google or yahoo and search "reloading links", you get other peoples' lists of companies, quite a few I hadn't heard of. In the list above, I have only included dealers that sell reloading components to retail customers. A comprehensive list of manufacturers would likely not be useful for this purpose. There is such a list in the back of "Reloader's Digest". In my original post, I said D&R came in cheapest for those Hornady soft points. Actually, I finally found them at Mid South, for $21.97/50. H. G. C.: Between Makarov.com and Midway. reload: Components? I wasn't very clear in my posts, but I had meant to say I was focussing on components sources. I knew I had left something out when I was typing the sentence about not including manufacturers. I just couldn't remember what it was. Now where was I going with that? Ah! of course, I had meant to say at the time, I also wasn't going to include places that just sold tools, equipment, and other non-consumables. Do people sell components on e-Bay? H. C.

btt Used it today. I've given up on getting blemished Hornady 500 grain 458 caliber bullets. I wanted to know who had them cheapest. H. C. Oh, and the winner is... Cheapest Hornady 500 gr FMJ RN ENC: Wideners at $36.00 per 50. D&R and Cabelas were close, at $36.21 and 37.99. Nobody else under $40. Highest price was $49.33 per 50. Cheapest Hornady 500 gr RN (Interlock or Interbond): D&R by a nose at $23.24 per 50. Midsouth came in second at $23.30. Actually, six suppliers have them for under $25 per 50. Highest price: $28.50 per 50. Some of these dealers give substantial discounts for orders of 5+ or 10+ boxes. I think the cheapest place to get 5 or more boxes of the FMJ bullets turned out to be Sinclair, who sells 5 or more boxes for $32.54 each. Some suppliers give free shipping for large orders too. I made a quick pass to weed out those who don't carry them and those who sell them way too dear. BTW, Midway has Woodleigh 510 gr soft points for $23.99 per box of 50. Makes me think a litle bit about changing my brand of soft point. H. C.

www.ar15.com used to have a big list like this in their Equipment Exchange forum. Haven't been there in a while, but a couple years ago I printed it out (and have since lost it...). I'll see if I can find it. It'll give me a good excuse to go check out the forum again. Edited to add, I just went & found it. Much smaller than it used to be, but the link is http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=9&t=90047 . Hope it helps...
