From my reading and the past experience with other military loading they should be fine in a quality gun as your Winchester, the military "sniper" rifles are basically factory spec. guns as far as strength goes and I would not worry about the ammo but just for safety shoot one and check the case expansion and visual clues to extra high pressure.....you might keep the box and a couple of rounds...they might be collectors items some day....good luck and good shooting!!!

Hello,
I have heard that the LE/GI "sniper" rounds are nothing more than repackaged Federal Match. Take it for what it is worth, I cannot verify the accuracy of the info.

In am older artical in Tactical Shooter there was an artical about military use of precision rifles and it talked about the weapons and ammo used.

If I remember correctly (I don't have the artical in front of me) The .300 WM ammo loaded for the military wasn't loaded to any higher pressures, the main difference was the OAL. The commercial stuff is loaded shorter so it will fit in all types of weapons. Since the military knows the weapons the ammo will be fired in they have the bullet loaded closer to the lands to improve performance in their weapons.

If the ammo chambers in you Laredo it should fire fine.

I was given a box about a year or so ago and it shot just fine out of my Win.70. It is loaded a little on the long side 3.400" and not the standard 3.340" so you will have to load them one at a time.
