Has anyone tried H414 with a 50gr Noslor in a 243. I thought I would go a head and use this barrel until I shoot it out before I change it to a 22-250AI. Did anyone get good results 1/2 or better @ 100 yards. I've got a pound of this powder that I was going to try at one point, but stuck with Varget under a 70gr Noslor. __________________

Do you mean a 55 gr. bullet instead of a 50gr. ? I haven't tried a 50, in fact, have never seen one, but the 55's shoot very well from my gun with H380, the H414 had inconsistent velocities for me with the 55 gr., but that's not to say it won't work in yours, all you can do is load them up and try. H 414 is better with bullets of 75 grains or more in the 243.. then it is very accurate...too slow for bullet weights under 75 grains...

Just tried some H414 with the 55 BT in my 243 last week, but the best with H380.If you allready have some I would give it a try and see how it does in your rifle.Below is what I got with 3 different powders at 100 yds. H414= 50 grs-wlr-3696-1/2 in groups (shot 2-3-shot groups with each load)68/35 IMR 4895=44.5 grs-wlr-3599fps-1/4 in-77/39 H380=51 grs-wlr-3818fps-one group one hole, one group 1/4 in-5/3 My hunting load is H414 with 45 grs and a 85 sierra or 87 hornady bullet. This was the first time I had tried the light bullets in my 243 and was very impressed with the results.I got my load data off Steves Pages so you can check the loads I used there.
