I got a small sample of this stuff. The info with it says it's good for barrel cleaning. It's even supposed to remove copper.....and it's also supposed to be good for your leather boots. And, just about anything in between.
It smells kind of different...not bad just different.
Anyone using this stuff and can comment on it??

kraky,
Like stinger I use it on my black powder stuff. It is an excellent bore cleaner and rust preventative. It also keeps any leather goods soft and pliable. Great product IMHO.

The smell makes me sick, (but, after a debate with my wife, it helps to remedy cuts and bruises).

When Ballistol was introduced to the German army, the maker said you could even fry your potatoes in it.

Love it, don't want to be without it. It does remove a small amount of copper from the bore if you leave it in as a rust preventative. My main like is that it doesn't eat my skin and doesn't dissolve stock finishes.

There's always some with me on the range. I use other products too, but it is the best spray lube/cleaner I've run across to use for a quick shot.

A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work.

Like others have said it is great on black powder firearms. It is just hard to find.

I mix it 50/50 with water and use on my flintlock & percussion muzzleloaders. The water evaporates leaving a film that prevents rust. It smells some but it's not unpleasant, IMO.

Judging from the last food I had at the Berlin airport, they still do this... :-(

Thats a great one!!! If you like Ballistol Midway has it on sale. Just go to the website and put in Ballistol. If you shoot .308 caliber you might want to combine some Ballistol with a super deal I found there. Just type in "combined technlogy 150" and you'll see they are selling Nosler partition gold 150's (moly coated) for just $4.99/50. That's a hell of a deal.
