I shot up a box 145eldx bullets and settled on IMR4350 I used the load data for Burger bullets.
ccibr2 primers Remington brass.
3 shot groups at 100yrs were moa
H4831SC gave the highest velocity at almost 3100f/s

If you can find some, RL26 does very well. I get over 3130fps with ELD-X out of a 22 inch barrel.

The 270 and 4831 IMR or H is a marriage made in Heaven, has been since the birth of the .270..

I use the old WW2 surplus 4831 aka 4350 DATA, the same thing..gets more velocity and less pressure than the new stuff, Its what Jack O used, 62 grs with 130 and a 150 gr. bullets was Jacks usual load with WW brass and 61 with Rem brass according to Jack. Its always worked for me also..The new RL powders work almost as good and go thru the powder measure more accurately with no cutting and are accurate to not need weighing...You can fill a .270 case to the hilt if you wish, it won't produce enough pressure to hurt a thing, the old stuff that is, not the modern stuff of today as the new stuff will get to hot..
