would like to know the dimensions of you unfired brass and if any make of brass is larger or smaller?

Interested in the base dimensions above the rim. The book says should be around .4729" and rim is the standard .473.

Thanx...

Rim dimensions are the same as '06, and the case head is .0013" larger than '06, which I think everyone pretty much ignores. I anneal '06 and form it to 7x57, because my local source doesn't stock 7x57.

Loaded to modern pressures, the 7x57 is very, very close to the 270 ballistically.

Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good.

My RPs measure the same as Craigster's. On a fired resized case The largest body diameter is
.467". I've for a long time considered these cases to be a scoch on the small side but they never gave me any trouble so far.

The New 8mm RP, unfired cases have a head diameter of .4668" and the rim= .4671" ( 1 cases measured only)

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..
