Looking for a standard/low pressure load for the 45 Colt using AA#5 under a 250gr coated RNFP. If anyone has done this and is willing to share their starting load info that would be appreciated. | ||

Appreciate the fast reply but they don't have that close of a match - The closest 250 they list is for a plated bullet; they also have a jacketed (xtp). Going up in weight the nest nearest is an swc. Going down (a few times) in weight are all jacketed. | |||

Coated, plated and bare cast lead are all pretty interchangeable for loads, with pretty equal pressures. Jacketed are thicker, and harder to engrave in the rifling, so give higher pressures. I agree completely with z1r's post. | |||
