Anyone out there load for this calibre? Just picked up a Siamese Mauser rifle thinking I would rebarrel it. The barrel on this rifle looks pretty good so I think I would like to play with it as is. Found a set of dies. Going to pick up a bag of 45-70 brass to form some cases. Any information regarding what bullets and powders have worked for you would be appreciated. Thanks

IIRC SurplusRifle.com had an article on reloading for these. Don't remember if it was the 8x50R or the 8x52R - or both. I had one in 8x50R but the bore was "dark" so never went through the trouble to see how it shot. Jeff P
