G'Day Fella's, I hope you all had or are having a great Christmas day! Late last week, I received my www.woodleighbullets.com.au 2017 catalogue and price list. Whilst I was out bush on the weekend putting their existing bullets to good use, unfortunately there's nothing to report in the way of New bullets, in their line up for 2017. Hope that helps Doh! I'll be adding it to the favorites, to replace the 2016 catalogue- I keep waiting for Geoff to add a .422" 350 gr pointed soft point, so that I can extend the range of the Jeffery a bit and make it my standard elk rifle.

Do they not make a 347 gr for the 10.75X68 to duplicate the original German load? .423 will work fine in the 404 Jeffery.

I wish the .30 caliber 220 grain FMJ was cheaper. I'd love to load some up but they are something like $80 or $90 per box from Midway!

The 10.75x68mm bullet is also round nose. What I'm hoping for is a pointed bullet similar to the bullet they have for the .458.

If you can get a swag die, you could bump up the Woodleigh 416 bullet in 340 gr PP up to 423 cal. No experience with swagging but read about it all the time particularly for the larger bores. "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick."

I wish there are REAL load data for their 400gr Weldcore bullet for .500 S&W magnum. The bullet is very good, but load data missing. I wrote to them and they replied: .............................................. Hi Jiri, Here is some data from our manual for our 400 gr FN SN; Titegroup 15 to 17.5 gr 1205 to 1335 fps Longshot 18 to 22 gr 1270 to 1455 fps Lil'gun 31 to 37 gr 1520 to 1725 fps H4227 36.5 to 39.5 gr 1585 to 1695 fps Win 296 34 to 40 gr 1515 to 1720 fps Regards, Geoff McDonald Woodleigh Bullets .............................................. But that load data are from Hodgdon website for Sierra JSP, which is seated much much deeper than Woodleigh Weldcore bullet (if used factory crimping groove). I very like the bullet, I dislike provided info. Jiri

I have downloaded, printed out and bound together all the Woodleigh bullet catalogues since 2003 although seemed to have missed the 2004, 2006 and 2007 years if Woodleigh published them for those years. I also have probably their first catalogue which was a different format to all the above years, it is not dated but I acquired it back in the mid 80's. The bullets for the 10.75x68 are listed as 347gr whereas the lighter bullet for the 404 Jeffery is 350gr, possibly thicker jacketed if there is any difference. Sometime prior to 2009, certainly at least in my 2006 catalogue, Woodleigh listed the bullets for both the 10.75x68 and 404 Jeffery as .423" diameter whereas from the 2009 catalogue they list the 404 Jeffery bullets as .422" and have continued that sizing since. Don't really know why the need for the slightly reduced diameter for the 404 bullets unless the thicker jackets, especially in the FMJ style, raise pressures a bit. Never tried Woodleigh bullets in my 404, always had a good supply of 347gr and 401gr RWS bullets to feed the Jeffery cartridge.
