I'm finding this powder shoots real good in a short barreled .243 using 95 Nosler PT. Anyone else using it? What calibers?

It is not readily available in my area, it smells like phenol (moth balls) and 4895 is more flexible.

I have used 2495 but find AA3100 better in my gun. The 95g Partition is IMO one of the best whitetail bullets I have ever tried in my old Rem 700 BDL carbine.

When AA2495 first came out I called Accurate Arms and asked them about it. They said they had blended it to duplicate IMR 4895 pressures and velocities.

Well by gum, they must have. When it cost less than IMR 4895, I must have shot up 32 pounds of the stuff in 308, 30-06, and did load testing in the .223. My lots incidentally were made in China. The stuff shot great. Within the accuracy of my equipment, the powder charges gave me the same velocities as equivalent charges of IMR 4895.

I have always considered the 4895 class of powders to be the most flexible rifle powders. It is at its best in medium capacity cases. Now I am working my way through Surplus 4895 having used all my cheap AA2495 up.

Got my last Leg and Regional Gold with an M1a with AA2495. I have no compliants.
