Measuring neck tension
Another thread reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask. I understand that a properly sized neck will be about .002 smaller than bullet diameter... but how do you measure the i.d. of a case neck?
An inside micrometer or caliper would do it.
Measure the OD of a sized case. Measure the OD of the case with bullet seated. The difference is your bullet grip. You'll then know the ID of both the sized case and with bullet seated.

Ralph HyrlikI think that .001" is ideal.
