Okay....

I did not find H-110 a suitable powder for the .444 Marlin with any bullet weight, in either rifle or handgun.

Load from a disk does not recommend H-110.

Here is the data from Quick Load:

**** Input data: Date: 20-May-2004 Time: 15:18:42
Cartridge................. = .444 Marlin
Projectile type........... = .429, 180, Sierra JHC 8600 with flatbase

Max.avg.pressure(Piezo CIP)= 51488 psi Shot start / init pressure = 2176 psi
Projectile weight (gr)= 180 Groove caliber (in)= 0.430
Length of cartridge (in)= 2.548 Length of case (in)= 2.215
Case capacity(Grains Water)= 69.00 Length of projectile (in)= 0.583
Length of barrel (in)= 18.500
**** Values calculated:
Seating depth (in)= 0.250 Volume displaced (gn H2O)= 9.18
Comb.chamber volume(gn H2O)= 59.82 Projectile travel (in)= 16.535
**** Input data:
Propellant type........... = Hodgdon H110
Charge weight..........(gr)= 55.0 Load density......(g/cu.cm)= 0.918
Heat of Explosion (cal/lb)= 445279 Ratio of spec. heats cp/cv = 1.220
Solid density (gr/cu.in)= 409.7 Weighting factor.......... = 0.8
Burning rate factor Ba(1/s)= 0.794 Pro-/degressivity factor a = 5.217
Burning limit ......... z1 = 0.3 Combust.Chamber Vb(ft)= 1.371435E-4
Factor.................. b = 1.833 X-S.Area of Bore A(ft)= 9.959076E-4
Bulk density (gr/cu.in)= 247.3 Projectile mass mp (lb)= 2.571385E-2
Loading ratio (%)= 93.8 Projectile travel x(ft)= 1.377923E+0

**** Results calculated:
Maximum pressure ........ = 56254 psi Way of projectile at Pmax = 0.92 in
Muzzle velocity ......Ve = 2884 fps Muzzle pressure ......Pe = 5823 psi
Project. energy at muzzle = 3325 ft.lbs Fraction of powder burnt = 99.9 %
Projectile travel time from 10% Pmax to muzzle = .8 ms

D A N G E R: Load exceeds Maximum Average Pressure ! DO NOT USE THIS LOAD !
