Mike I would start woith a 240gr case SWC bullet with 7 grains of Unique. There are several powders suitable, but I have had excellent service with Unique since 1970. Work up in onehalf grain increments till you fine the load that shoots best/and has the level of recoil you want. Max loads well be around 10 grains... If I want more power than 10 grains of Unique I go to 2400 powder. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

DCB 240 gr cast and Unique or 2400, loaded to moderate velocites gives me SURPRISING accuracy out of my blackhawk. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If the 270 won't do it the .338 will, if the 338 won't I can't afford the hunt!
