I recently purchased a .44 mag new model super black hawk and am wondering if anyone can recomend a good target load for gun

Mike I would start woith a 240gr case SWC bullet with 7 grains of Unique.

There are several powders suitable, but I have had excellent service with Unique since 1970.

Work up in onehalf grain increments till you fine the load that shoots best/and has the level of recoil you want.

Max loads well be around 10 grains...

If I want more power than 10 grains of Unique I go to 2400 powder.

DCB 240 gr cast and Unique or 2400, loaded to moderate velocites gives me SURPRISING accuracy out of my blackhawk.
