I'm trying to make a varmint load for my H&R ultra comp 30-06 . I'm using Win 748 @ 58.5 grainss , my velocity is 3400, accuracy is okay, not great.
Does someone a load they like from a printed source.
Any input is appreciated.
Is the B.C. too low on 110 grains for accuracy ?
I'm look for groups under 1"

I doubt you are going to get what you are looking for...but you might wanna try:
TAC From 53.4 grains to 56.0 grains
Winchester WLR Primer

Try using 4895 at velocities around 2800 fps. I think at the high end the short bullets are over spun in a 1 in 10 inch twist barrel.

What type of gun are you using ?
I'm going to slow my bullet down and see what happens with accuracy.
I took out a number of ground squirrels yesterday
and the damage was much, much worse then what my Nosler 50 grain BT .223 does.
I have some questions about COL, should I start a new post?
Thanks for the replies

I loaded up some 125gr Nosler B-Tips using 57 gr of Varget for a friends Ruger Model 77 in 30-06. These loads were doing 3400fps and would print right at 1/2 inch at 100 yards. That would do a pretty good job on ground squirrels I think!
