They are considered varmints in Nevada and can be hunted 365/year without a license, even if you are a non-res. A lot and I mean a lot are found on the ranches of Northern Nevada. Contact the F&G office in Wells or Elko and they can probably hook you up with lots of info. If it was me, I'd fly into SLC and rent a car. With some research, this should be a w/e hunt.

My Badger experience was not a hunt but rather a find. While going to our family's annual campsite, we found a freshly run over Badger. Rigamortus had not set in yet and the only supperficial wound was a protruding testicle...SCORE! Took it to a local taxedermist to flesh and salt the hide, we collected it on the way home. Unfortunetly, it was found in July when the temp was 96 degrees so the coat wasn't stellar. The kids loved every moment of it, what a cool find. Our family tree does, in fact branch, I just believe in recycling what's around us, including a 5 yr old, freshly run over badger...is that so wrong?
