I've hunted those "snowshoes" in the Poconos and their true fur color is sometimes are not synchronized with the snowfall. Also they run much further and longer than rabbits and are in fact bigger. An experienced hare hunter, like a rabbit hunter, can fairly well judge where they will cross the terrain. That Euro terrain must really allow for some long chases as the dogs appear much larger than a standard beagle. I'd bet shot size is bigger too? | ||
