Hello fellow critter killers....
While I was tacking a beautiful pheasant back
skin to a piece of plywood,a mouse ran across the
floor in front of me.The only weapon in reach I had against
the vermin was the hammer in my hand.I deftly and
accurately threw the hammer and cleanly dispatched
the critter.Well there was a brain splatter, but it
cleaned up ok.As soon as I develop the film I'll post
a picture of what surely is a record book mouse in the
hammer category.

Hehe ...

At my old job we used to have a vermin problem in the office.

The programmers had our own little room where we'd all sit and work, about 8 of us, and one afternoon a mouse peeked out from under the closet and ran a little into the room, and a couple of the guys saw it. One of them chuckled and the mouse ran back under the closet.

Thinking quickly, I grabbed a mousetrap I'd gotten from home, and baited it with some fig-newton, then sat it about a foot in front of the door.

Sure enough, about 10 minutes later the mouse creeps back out again and wanders by the trap. At this point, all 8 of us are holding our breath in the room watching. The little guy walks over to the trap and starts sniffing around the newton, oblivious to his audience. THWAK! He gets tagged just behind his head and lays there twitching for a bit, and all of us are in there laughing and cheering. It was bad.

That was probably my best mouse.
