Just heard over the radio a few minutes ago that a local Kentucky man was charged in shooting a cat with an arrow. Lt. Tom Bivens of the Kentuckky State Police made the arrest and filed the charges. The man was charged with 1 count of animal cruelty, 1 count of wreckless endangerment, and has to pay the vet bills for the recovery of the animal. Seems like police are cracking down on this, and people are even reporting their neighbors. Here is another story I found.

I know I will report anyone I hear or see shooting a cat! I think it's down right cowardly.

Do you own an 8mm rifle? Do you sharpen the points on your ammo?

Sound familiar guys??? This could get ugly!

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Great, one less Kentucky man to worry about! Genghis, give him our best will ya? I recall someone once commenting on a shot with a crossbow that nailed tabby to a tree, or barn side or something like that. I gave him a 9.2 for timing and aim, 9.8 for artistic merit! thumb Bet he had a hard time getting the arrow out of the woodwork...

But tasco, if you didn't let YOUR cats roam throughout the neighborhood, pissing and shitting in everyone elses property, they wouldn't be ferals.

Killing cats is fun.

A cat that is being fed is a pet. Shouldn't have shot it. The real crime was the guy was a bad shot. If you are going to do the dead, do it well or not at all. He should have retrieved the arrow. They aren't cheap anymore.

I would appreciate it if you could find a cat lovers forum to lurk around and leave this one free of your babble!
I suspect that you are purposely baiting the regulars of this forum.
If was to be impolite I would say "Piss off" but I won't be impolite just yet.

Were the neighbors feeding that abandoned crat enjoying the spray left on their front porch?Someone should have taken it 'INDOORS".
And what this nonsense of usin' a practice arrow? Those are only effective (if not hilarious) if inserted length wise thru the crat.I've never had any luck with practice arrows and neck shots.Broadheads rule.
Now if you use a 'fish' arrow and a carp rig on yer bow,YEEHAW, now yer talking. wave

He wasn't charged with unlawfully shooting a cat. He was charged because he didn't kill the cat and it escaped and suffered. Dead cat = No problem.

I guess the reckless endangerment charge was because he shot the cat indoors. After all, poor Fluffy couldn't have been running around outside killing wildlife, could it?? roflmao
