This year and last has had the largest nut/acorn crop I have ever seen here on Lookout Mt in NE Alabama. Yet the squirrel/deer population is smaller. One would think more food for everyone would increase activity and populations. How has the mast crop been elsewhere?

We had a massive acorn crop in north Texas too. I think that that has caused us to see fewer deer. They just haven't needed to move much or out of cover to get to food. We've seen very few deer this season and only recently have we been seeing pigs on our lease. LWD
