Better to remain silent and be thought a fool. Than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Ben589Great news on the non malignant, and even better on it being between tissue layers.
Here:

A Dream
In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed-
But a waking dream of life and light
Hath left me broken-hearted.
Ah! what is not a dream by day
To him whose eyes are cast
On things around him with a ray
Turned back upon the past?
That holy dream- that holy dream,
While all the world were chiding,
Hath cheered me as a lovely beam
A lonely spirit guiding.
What though that light, thro' storm and night,
So trembled from afar-
What could there be more purely bright
In Truth's day-star?
--- Edgar Allen Poe

LDHunterDDan,
I've been so distracted lately I almost missed this but I didn't feel a disturbance in the force so I'm sure this will come out OK.
I've had 7 eye surgeries in the last 7 years and can say that they're scary but the science of it all is quite advanced and all mine came out just fine.
You (and your surgeon) are in our prayers. Please keep us informed.
Hey... Come see me when you can!
Take Care,

DigitalDanThanks Bob...I'm surprised you didn't feel that jiggle in the Force today. Did something beyond my wildest imagination.

Went in for the CT scan about 4 PM, laying on the table, IV in my right arm, the girl said it was for the Iodine...something about contrast.

They took one series of images, then a second with my head tilted back. Then they gave me the iodine and began the 3rd series. God is my witness, I TRIED to get their attention...waving my free arm, and trying not to move my head...they'd been real specific about not moving my head.

Well, about 30 seconds of that was all I could handle, rolled to the left, slamed my noggin into the ring with all the fancy stuff in it, and blew lunch all over it. Then on the floor when they got me out of the ring thingy. Then I filled a bucket while one of them got the IV out.
Snot and puke all over the place, all over me...they told me that sometimes that happens. Just to guys. Rarely.

Well, I got sorta cleaned up, went back in the thing and finished the series. Saw the pics afterwards, even the one where I broke station. Funny lookin' thing...left half of my brain and eye all proper, the right side all whirled and swirled. Never realized that barfin' was a right brain function.

So much for first impressions.
BTW, it has been scientifically proven that I have a brain. I've got the pictures in my safe just in case.

Old Elk HunterWhat! No electronic implant of a blue laser rangefinder!!! You'll just have to aim at crats the old fashioned way, with both eyes. Good to hear that you have gotten good news.
RELOAD - ITS FUN!

Or so I've heard.

The jury is still out on that.

I certainly hope not in any case.

As an alternative I've considered a small movie projector that will play on my white eye patch.

Computer generated videos of liberals being eviscerated, hung, or drowned near Chappaquidik

(Why would a dick drown somebody near a place with dik in its name?

). Something like that.

Haven't consulted yet with Mrs. Dan,...the question of romantic movies...for, well, you know. Somehow I doubt she'll sign off on anything starring Linda Lovelace.

I could win the war in Iraq with that one though. Turn Imams into stone.
