This cold weather is sure good for crat shoot'n as they are thick in the yard hanging around the bird feeder. Last Friday night I was sitting in my chair and heard one crying outside the window. Although we had a house guest, she had already gone to bed and I sneaked to the garage and pumped up the Sheridan. Even tho I had to juggle the gun and light, I caught it in my yard swing and gave it a lead vitamin. And, awayyyyyy it went. Today, as I walked thru the den, I saw one outside that I've been after for a while. This time I went to the garage, got the Sheridan, and went out the front door. When I got around the house, the "bullet magnet" was standing under the feeder looking at me. I slowly mounted the gun, aligned the crosshairs, and squeezed off a 5mm vitamin. Cat left the premises much faster than he entered, hopefully to drag his sorry butt home to die on the porch. Best thing about the two--I didn't have to dispose of the carcasses. Would really rather use my M77-22 but neighbors are way tooo close. An old pilot, not a bold pilot, aka "the pig murdering fool"

Ya know, I tried to scare off a squirrel the other day, only gave it two pumps on the Benjamin, range about 30 yards. Damn thing fell over dead, shot right thru the heart. Well, he's in the freezer now...NEXT! Just hate it when they start burying crap in the flower pots. BTW, be careful they don't make a federal case out of one of them crats, and do a ballistics comparison. Mebbe you need a throwdown air rifle? My .177 RWS does the old through and through routine if I avoid the big bones.

Man, there is nothing like RWS for serious airgun shootin'. I have a Model 26 Diana that will cloverleaf at 50 feet and break the shoulder of a cat enroute to the heart like nobody's business.

I sold my RWS-not sure why, but I just like the Sheridan 5mm better. The RWS had a sight alighnment problem too. Rear sight was all the way down and all the way right and it was still shooting high left. So, I set up a couple of v-blocks, got the old c-clamp, and bent the barrel a bit until at center of sight travel it was shooting to the sight's point of impact.
