AWH, this may not be the best forum to post the question in...we're generally uncouth and rowdy here. Not the kind of European Gentleman wannabe puffing on fine Cuban cigars and sipping Courvosier you're looking for. No sir, we're a bunch of homicidal crat whackers, and if WE came to your fine ranch, life would never be the same for you again. Frowner Kind of a Budweiser chuggin' Redman chompin' crat kickin' kinda crowd, yessiree! Cool

Now, as to your question, what would it take to lure me to your fine ranch in Argentina? Lot of George Dickel, 2-3 green eyed redheads, a couple of shameless blonds and a smoulderin' lass with light grey eyes and wavey chestnut locks down to her pert round backside. I'd be leavin' the guns at home BTW.

Hope this helps, and best of luck with your endeavor! Wink

Hi,

I'm from Finland and I would be really happy of a relatively cheap 3-4 days hunting package with ALL included (licenses, accommodation, dinners, transportation, AMMUNITION etc.) In short: make it easy and let the customers know what they get for, and make them get what they normally except to get for their money.

For example, one bad thing about the most argentinian dove hunts is that they give some prize saying ALL INCLUDED, which means practically nothing, since in addition you have to make very specific calculations of how much it will finally cost, because you have to pay very high price for the shotgun ammunitions (10$/box!!) It would be much more straightforward to make a package including something like 5000 rounds of ammunition or so.

If you would make one and it costs alltogether the same or even a bit more than those normal offerings with cheaper prices including lots of hidden cots, I'd prefer yours.

I would actually be really interested about argentinian dove hunt, if you make a good deal Smiler

AWH,thanks for the offer.I've never been to Argentina before.I see on TV that you have some of the finest dove shooting in the world.I would half to spend the rest of my life sleeping on the front porch if I spent that kinda money.
High volume dove shooting around my neck of the woods involves a folding lawn chair, the bird feeder in the back yard, cooler of iced beer within reach of said chair,a spit cup,a Sheridan Silver Steak, and a good backstop to please the whiny neighbors.
This shoot usually serves two purposes.
# 1...Great fun for friends, old & new. Especially if a Bar-B-Que is fired up.Good way to get the kids into shooting sports.
# 2...Fallen doves bring in the crats.Four pumps on the Sheridan will break a crats leg so the next door neighbors Shepards can catch easier for the game of Tug-O War.

DD, why would you want a couple of redheads with three green eyes?? I've always ascribed to the theory that redheads are either "really HOT", or "really not". I guess you go for the "really not" ones. Three eyes!?!? Sheesh!!! I sure home Mrs. Dan isn't aware of your "leanings". Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

And what's wrong with Cuban cigars and Courvoisier? After a day of crat whackin', you should be able to choose your own pleasures.

Besides, I'm allergic to Scotch. Don't know what it is about that stuff, but I've tried it three times in my life, and each time I've lost my ability to walk, which means I can't make it to bed, and then I end up with an excruciating headache in the morning cuz I've slept wrong. At least I think that's what happens. Eeker Frowner Wink

Fisher, my wife is red headed, and blue eyed. More of good is better! I also have a penchant for the exotic things in life. Cool

Some men are known to hide their gay ways behind manly facades, Courvosier and Cuban stogies make not the man. It is a tough rode from Wannabe to Hombre IIRC. Don't take any left turns. Wink

Tequilla. My allergy manifests itself in the form of bruises and other trauma whose origins always remain a mystery. On the day I must emulate the 300 Spartans it will be under the influence of vast quantities of cactus juice with a kilt made from crat skins and a crat skull super glued to the top of my head. I shall make them approach from down wind, and fart a LOT as they approach. Big Grin

Always had a thing for redheads, but TBH, they scare me!!!! Eeker Eeker

Now, about the cigar and cognac thing - If I smoke the occasional White Owl cigar, drink beer, spit, fart, cuss, scratch my nuts and have a perpetual bruise on my upper right arm from gettin' smacked by my gf cuz I ogle women when I drive around in my four-wheel drive truck, can I still tend my flower garden? Or, do I have to start chewin' t'baccy, too?

My gf has got me hooked on vodka martinis. Very dry (just kinda wave the vermouth bottle over the glasses), two olives. I don't partake very often, because they get me really ripped. On the plus side, they get her really ripped, too. Wink

BTW, she's blond - naturally. Wink Big Grin Big Grin

I was once led to the lobby of an airport hotel restaurant in Miami in the early AM after getting off of a mid shift, all in the interest of chasing skirt of course, and.... Cool

While munching away on breakfast and looking deep into the eyes of my blue eyed blond prey I spotted movement in the background... Eeker The flight crew of an Aerolinius Argentina 747 emerging from their lair, awaiting transportation to their skybus... A dozen and a half of the prettiest blondes, redheads and brunettes, brown eyes, blue, a few greenies... and my blond paled in comparison. Frowner My God but they were a lovely collection of fantasies if ever there was such a thing! Cool Cool Cool They talked a bit funny though, didn't sound a bit like the yadda-yadda Cubarican I was used to... They sounded like.....MUSIC! Smiler

That was why I suggested what it would take to get me down there, I know what is possible. Are there many crats in Argentina? Confused

Well, for me personally, I am more interested in big game like buffalo than doves. A real good price on real good BIG buffalo, BIG black buck, lion, etc will get me down there waaaay before a bird hunt would. Some fishing or bird hunting as a side distraction would be quite ok but not reason enough to fly south.

BTW, forget redheads (how boring), I prefer my men to be tall, dark, hot and handsome. Big Grin You got that in Argentina????

Make me an offer I can't refuse........... Smiler

AW,

Now we are talking... Smiler That extended cab scores you some points, almost lost you some because it is not American made. But I like the Hilux, they are the work horse in southern Africa as well. Is that one a diesel?

What is your rifle? Hopefully an Argentine Mauser???

My friend Ann,
You almost get it!!

This rifle is an Oberndorf Mauser.
And my truck is a Diesel Toyota Hilux.

Why you don't like it?

AW - I said I like the Hilux, I have ridden in many of them! I was teasing you because it is not an American made vehicle (Ford, Chevy, Dodge). I love a diesel truck. I no lnger have one but I do have a diesel Massey Ferguson tractor!

AW, now I am teasing Derf and Digital Dan with this comment: Derf, What is worse, smelling like a buffalo or goat-smelling? Most likely those boys won't "get it". Razzer

Now AW, what about the water buffs? You got any 100 inchers on your ranch? Lions? Reds? I see some stag antlers on your house. Any fishing? I fly fish as well. How big is your ranch?

My 30-06 is an Argentine Mauser. Big Grin

Seriously, Ann, not that DD is available, or anything, but he is a ringer for Fess Parker in his younger days.

I don't think you could get much taller or darker. I'll pass on the "hot" comment, as I am not qualified to make a judgement on that.

BTW- Where is AWH today? He must be out measuring buffalo horns for me.

Also, I agree the Hilux's are decent, but they are a bare bones vehicle. At least the ones I have been in. Perfect as hunting cars, not so fun on long drives though. Still, if I were out to buy a new truck I would dive back into another big daddy Dodge Ram 2500. It's pretty enough for a girl to drive. Wink

Had a friend back in '70 that had a Land Cruiser of that early vintage. Looked like the Jeep back then, tougher than a ram's forehead too. thumbTimes have changed, the pervasive onslaught of Yuppie influence in design has wrought it's toll. The old Land Cruiser ain't what it used to be. Frowner
