So it is known that I have travailed over these years, a quest of higher and noble purpose. 'Twas a quiet but earnest search, a time of patience as well, so counseled by my Master. "Doust hold until the quarter moon..." he spaketh, "...then stike whilst the forge is bright as the sun on high! It is the omen you seeketh."

Never can one doubt the King, for there is that true and fundamental fact of His being...and Where. The quarter seemed so small for my sword, nay, rapier, but question not did I.

It came to me even smaller, without my seeking it; I was sought by IT. It came even smaller, beaten and used. There was that tell tale lume about it, a misty dark fog, an oath. With that ethereal presence came purpose and bond, folowed by life for that neglected cause. Then "Off! Off to the land of glaciers with you, off to the Wizard's Keep! Come back a new pike, nay, a lance, of uncommon manner!" So sayeth I.

It has returned, my stick that speaks the Thunder of Hades; That I have told you. In the world of no witness save I, it has named itself and served notice of PURPOSE. To be dressed as the shadows, to hurl death's lightening as a God, that is it's reason for being. It is to serve the battle of mankind and King against all things BLACK, and all things with tooth and claw. It shall be known as "RAVAGE", Desiccator of all things BLACK and Evil.

In still air this day, RAVAGE did speak. It spaketh of days past, a time of Newtons and Kilbornes, Askins, and O'Conners. "Little has changed..." sayeth he, "...and one half of one half of the second part of the lessor digit of thy right hand, that shall be my Id."

Alone in the morning sun, influenced not by the passage of time, 5 times 3 did it happen, at that half furlong distance. That tatter of parchment so minor, scarcely twice the thickness of his bore, that was the seal put forth on that parchment so black. So sayeth RAVAGE, "Now we shall tilt at all things Black and filled with evil. Let us glare back at the eye of Beowolfe."

My apologies for confusion, it seemed so clear to me. Frowner Cool Mr. Blanch is next in line, this was a tale about my Remmy rebuild and the .250-3000. Just a wee bit over .4" avg. for 5X3 shot groups, at half a furlong or thereabouts. Wink Thanks be to Master Remington, Newton, Douglas and Erhardt. The evil "They" will have to pry my cold dead hands from this one.

I trust that the "Swamp Thing" is properly finished, that is Big Al's picture is in place.

Nay, only the load work is complete for the 85 gr. BTs. I've so many irons in the fire I hardly have room for roasting a crat these days. roflmao The "Swamp Thing" is now a name in the past, though it will likely wreak havoc in such environs. For ever after it is "Ravage", but it shall be graced with a picture of Big Al. Cool When it is complete I'll post a photo, but be prepared for a chill in the air when you see Its darkness. Already the crats are seeking shelter from It.

Hi Danno and all Small Gamers,

hijack

Read about your daddy, so sorry to hear of your loss. Been busy on my end so I have been a slacker.

Was out west in Wyo and Mon. Damn they have some big wabbits, not really small game! I think there were hares but they were BIG. Nothing like little eastern cottontails. I've got two speed goats in the freezer though.

I did ventilate a possum coming down from my tree a few nights ago. Thought by the noise a monster buck was comin' my way. Nope, just a big rat.

One less vermin walking the earth.

Speaking of which, and getting this prosical thread back on track....

Vermin rhymes with Birman

Vermin Ryhmes with Birman
by Ann, as imagined by Dan

Vermin Ryhmes with Birman,
the worms in his head always squirmin'.

'Twas said he'd be named Fred,
but then he'd wake up Dead.

Found often in bars, face down in a jar,
without him what would we do here at AR?

Danno,

You are my hero, either that or you have too much time on your hands. Glad you have survived another year of 'canes. Hope you spend some quality time writing pretty prose for Mrs. Danno!

Keep up the good work. Smiler
