Had some new people move in next door a couple weeks ago. I was'nt sure about them until yesterday. They are bird lovers, they have put up all kinds of bird houses and feeders all over the yard. I think every bird in a 50 mile radius has taken up residency in their back yard. Along with every stray in the city. I was behind my house getting in a little target practice, when they walked over to introduce themselves. The man tells me I need to turn that rifle around and get rid of some of them dam cats. I told him I would gladly get rid of them. He told me to pop all of them I wanted, and leave 'em lay he'ed take care of the garbage for me. I popped three this morning out the kitchen window while drinking my coffee. Before I was done with my coffee my new neighbor came out with a garbage bag and picked up the trash and waved at me as he put it in the can. I think I'am going to like these people!

Well that tears it, I'm moving to Kentucky!

PS: You might want to consider a bigger mug for the coffee.

Just got another one! I was standing in the kitchen watching the neighbor fill his bird feeders, I walked out on the patio to say hi and he starts pointing up at a tree in his yard. I looked up the tree and seen this big yellow and white critter tring to get at a bird house. I got my rifle and shot it out of the tree, he picked it up and tossed it over in the woods. He walked over and had a cup of coffee with me. And get this he says he's glad to have me next door. Said his last neighbor was a cat lover and they did'nt get along at all. I think were going to get along just fine!

I am 15 years old and hate nothin more than a female that turns me down and a cat. i have a 22. marlin that hold 18 rounds and one in the pipe. but my nieghbor and land lord is a cat lover take teh sick ones in a nurses them to health YUK! so things gotta be quiet i have a plan that never fails. Throw out the scraps of food into a racoon cage and when they come to eat it snaps shut. then i get the machette. teach them to shit in my yard and cover it up. only to let me step in it with my good boots a little later.

DD, sounds like he used a 22 Hornet case with a hot primer, maybe a touch of powder, and a .22 cal airgun pellet. Sounds adaptable to most for .22 and .25 caliber weapons.

Critter Killer, the CB longs will go in your gun and will shoot. But they wont operate that semi auto, not enough chamber pressure to work it. And in some tube feed rifles they dont like to feed out of the magazine tube. So you have to feed it one at a time by hand. Just put one in the chamber and let the bolt close, shoot it then pull the bolt back to eject. Its a slow operation but it makes a better shot out of you! Because you learn to make that first one count!

CBs will fit wonderfully in your .22 lr, and Wal-Marts everywhere are supposed to stock them under the counter in the .22 section.

They come in two varieties; CB Longs and CB Shorts, and they are ballistically similar, with the only difference being that CB shorts are made to fit in ".22 short only" rifles.

If you are fortunate enough to live near a Gander Mountain or Bass Pro Shop, they also have them, usually out in an aisle in their .22 long rifle section.

The biggest problem is finding a customer service person who knows what you are talking about when you ask them for "CB Longs."

I find them to be as accurate and fairly close to point of aim up to 35 yards, and like I said, as long as you are shooting a longer barrel .22, are next to silent and deadly. I use them as I can legally shoot in my unincorporated neighborhood, but don't want to be hassled by neighbors for a variety of reasons.

Any other questions, don't be afraid to ask, or go to www.rimfirecentral.com and ask anyone over there about them.
