Hello G. Ned Ludd. Actually, airedales are winding dogs primarily and silent on track so you don't get in as many cross country races as with hounds. Yes, there are a lot of airedale rescues but, if you are looking for a dog to hunt, most airedales have been bred for show for years. DD's(Drahthaars) are one of the versatile bird dog breeds....better on feathers than they are on fur. | ||
