Lake City, which is in the upper central part of Florida. Definitely not the showplace of the "sunshine state". More like Cracker central, but that has it's high points, also.

OK, found it on Mapquest, right up there in what I've heard referred to as the "armpit" of Florida. How long are you down there for, if you know. Sorry if you've already answered that, but inquiring minds want to know!

Please tell me you'll be going home for Thanksgiving. Wouldn't want you slipping into a turkey coma away from home.

I'm here until a)the company transfers me out (already talk of that, going to Alaska) or February comes around. Nope, won't be trekking home for Thanksgiving, but my wife and kids will be coming here for Christmas. What really and truly sucks is that I was away from them all last year, and primarily because of that, have to spend 6 months away from them for my civilian job.

Gotta love it, though.
