When I was a kid(18 or so)we used to have a place on Pickett's Bayou in TEXAS. We used to set trotlines in the evening and start drinking, like most kids. About midnight we'd run the lines and then walk up behind the cabin lookin for rabbit's. In between we'd play poker. Then we'd make another round. Every round someone would get a rabbit and straight on the pit it would go, covered in B-B-Q sauce. It was great! Rabbit is fun to hunt and good to eat. Once me and a buddy, Eddie, shot 17 rabbit's in one night! Crap was I tired of cleaning rabbit, but not tired of eating them. He also introduced me to Rabbit salad, just like chicken salad. MMM, MMM , good! Love night time Rabbit hunting w/ a headlight.
