My girlfriend lives with her grandparents and they are over run with cats. Im talking like 150 cats. Problem is that while they believe in guns and hunting they dont allow hunting or shooting on their 80 acres. How can me and me girlfriend get around that rule of theirs?

Just a suggestion:
Dig nice hole out back.
Buy small bag Friskies.
Snag pie plate.
Buy Grandparents dinner and movie tickets.
Have extra ammo on hand.

Repeat steps till problem is solved!! Big Grin

NO the grandparents hate to go anywhere. The only live traps I have are leg holds, No birdwatchers around.

Im liking Smedleys first idea so far due to the fact that if I told them they were sick or had rabbies they would try to heal it.

Trap em all... Im sure you could get a few a day... OR get a high powered pellet gun. We shot one in the neck and it spewed blood 15 feet in the air onto our garage. They do the trick Smiler

94/22,

You seem to be a mind in need of molding.
I believe you have come to the right place.
Unless you live in Iowa or Kansas there should be a "high hide" where you can rain death and destruction on the Mogul Horde that is infesting what would otherwise be a small game heaven.

If I wasn't an upstanding law abiding sort I would recomend a small calaber supressed weapon.

Instead I will recomend a mixture of 1 gal. prestone to one gal. of tap water flavored with a 3.75 oz jar of Wylers Chicken Bouillon. Place in small bowls arround the perimeter.

Most would suggest challenging the hypocrisy of the owners philisophy but the end result would not be satisfactory as those who suffer high density crat infestation are beyond reason.

Hello and welcome. Swamp_Fox has the correct solution to the problem if you consider the permanency of your "girlfriend" to be an important issue. If so you should consider obtaining hunting, fishing, shooting, trapping, EOD, and miscellaneous mayhem rights to the adjoining properties. The farm will thus become the source of the crat supply for your sporting enjoyment and you both will have the pleasure of deeds well done until the place repopulates with small game and then you can have some more fun, and who knows where that will lead.....

Here is an alternete solution the both suppresed weapons and the post hole problem. Do the post hole but about 3 feet deep or even 4, and I mean a post hole not a dug out. Use tuna as bait and watch the hole from a blind. When the crat drops into the hole, run up to the hole, extend the 22 barrel into the hole and squeeze off the kill shot. The earth will totally muffle the sound and then all you have to do is either fill in the hole or partially fill it if it is deep enough to hold several crat carcasses. If you were to use a "bar and spoon" you could go down up to 14 or 15 feet! Big Grin derf

Lets not forget, 22 CB caps and a long barreled rifle. Quite, cheap, no tax stamps,etc...

Hog Killer

PS: Out of sight, out of hearing, out of mind. Soon to be out of crats jumping
