A couple of years ago, I was up in a tree about 25' waiting for a nice whitetail buck to come within bow range. It was on the back of our farm in section of large oaks.

About 100yds away a blk/wht crat is walking down the hill, far out of range!

A big doe w/ 2 fawns start to chasing the pussy, 10 and 20 feet at a time. Real slow and methodical but in my direction.

Crat would try to hide behind something and the deer would slowly walk up and flush the feral.

Finally the crat is about 25 yds away and I draw the bow and settle the pin for a double lung shot. Release is good. The arrow smacks into the crat.

Just a little to left of my aim point! But the crat is now a 100 rpm motor!! with my arrow as the stator!

After about 15 seconds the RPMs started winding down. 100 grain Muzzy did it's job.

The deer? I can't remember seeing them after the crat closed to within 40 or 50 yds.

I did hear some laughing down in the creekbed though.

I made a mistake. The arrow would have been the armature, and the motor would have sounded like it had really bad bearings!

I always liked spinners, and especially appreciate a sportsman that will set aside personal desires for the good of mankind! Excellent work buddy!
