Neat footage but I am a mite confused! What does this have to do with crat hunting. Was the Hare a Birman Spy? derf

It's fine here with me. It is the small game forum after all. We just devote all our time to crat whackin and get a little carried away at times but love every minute of it! nut
I personaly love to hear and watch a hound work a track and then give good chase. I liked it.
Next time you post on this forum try to work in at least one comment about killing a crat and you will see everyones eyes light up like christmas morning when you were 5!!
Take care and keep that hound in shape on those hares! One other suggestion maybe teach it to track cats and surely be the talk of the small game forum! beer

Guns and ammo what more do we need?

Well, all I can say is that a hare in the bush is almost as good as two in the teeth. bewildered Don't know what that means but like the way it sounds.

Maybe we need to train some jacks to track crats, so's when the Hounds of Baskerville are hot on their ass the trail will lead to even more fun. Load the Benelli thusly: #6, #6, #5, BB, #3 Buck. In order of firing of course.

Sadly, Swedish hunting laws forbid me to load my Benelli with more than 3 cartridges, and the magasine is altered not to take more. Still it is a damn nice gun to shoot and handle! It will be time for geese soon... thumb
But my Spanish sidelock is indeed a more beautiful gun... Smiler

Very nice, indeed classical Scandinavian hare hunting at its best! Thanks for sharing!

Is your dog a finnstövare? A friend have a one year old finnstövare that looks really promising, not at least for foxes. Actually, he will go hunting hares i Norway with it this October, in Orkladal. We both fish that area and he has a lot of friends up there.

Regards,
Martin
