Christmas breakfast for Trooper

My dad owns a Jack Russell named "trooper" who has been around for 5 Christmases. We have a tradition, Trooper and I; on Christmas morning, we go out hunting, and I shoot him a rabbit and/or squirrel, which he then devours. Well, this Christmas morning was no exception. Got up early, the sun not quite up yet, and was sitting at the kitchen table at my Dad's place, when I noticed that it was light enough to see the rabbits running.

I went out to the porch, grabbed the CZ452 Mannlicher, locked and loaded one five round magazine of .22 lr, and took three steps out of the house, and plugged a fat little bunny dead as a doornail from around 35 yards.

Trooper trotted out, picked up the bunny and carried it back to the barn, where he enjoyed it thoroughly. Unfortunately, he got in the house directly after he was done, and tracked blood all over the place. Lots of females in the house, including the one who "owns" me, who now hold me responsible.

Oh, well. At last Trooper and I had our yearly fun.

Yeah, I know. I ALMOST feel guilty, but Dad had sheet ice all over the place, and I felt lazy. Not my fault the bunny volunteered to be executed....

Speaking of sheet ice...put a little leaf debris in the back of my truck to clog the drains, add a little rain... This AM I got a friggin' ice hockey rink in the back of Big White! WTF! Confused This is supposed to be FLORIDA! Eeker I don't mean a skin of ice...the damn thing is froze solid! Looks like somebody fell thru when they were ice fishing...suspiciously like Tick. Eeker Big wide eyes lookin' up, arms wide and mouth open...I had to look away and go get the paper off the drive...sure I was imagining that. Hope so anyway. sofa

Hadn't heard from him in awhile... Now I've heard about that cold water drownin' thing, where people get their metabolism slowed down in cold water, and like live for a long time...Tick...he never had much of a metabolism to start with...mebbe I should go warm that water up and make sure? bewildered There was crat tracks on the surface of the ice, and a yella puddle over his face...din't see no keyboard though. Confused

I think I'll just stay upstairs and watch. Might get up into the 60's today....

I have 2 thoughts concerning your post DD, no perticular order, Maybe one ought to invest in Orange futures again since the price might soon be going up and YOU SHOULD HAVE MOVED TO BC, it is raining here again. We already had our 3 weeks of winter. derf
