Just overcame a black trailer trash tiger in my sideyard! Gotta love a p.p.p. load in a 22 hornet. Never heard it comming. Nothing beats a Crow Magnum in the ear. 338vt

Sounds good, like just a small "pop" kind of good. Might be quieter than an air rifle.... I like it! Thanks for sharing. Although, if lawn lepord elimination is the primary use, you could call it a p.p.p.p.p. Primer Powered Pellet Pussy Popper! Rick

Could you expound a bit on the PPP, never heard of them until now. Where do you get them or how do you make them? Dan Pres., TYHC www.WaysN.Means

D.D. Rick's right. p.p.p.'s are made with a 22 hornet case, 22 cal. pellets powered by the primer and a pinch of fast burning powder. To make them, just take a primed 22 hornet case add .5 grain blue dot or equ. and hand press the pellet into the case. With wad cutters the pellet should be flush with the case, with pointed pellets the tip should be out of the case to the front land riding edge. You can look on in the fun shooting tread for Primer powered pellets.

| Clay, what I'm thinking is that we should find some fellow with a lathe that is bored, maybe turn a couple of pieces of brass that would be properly sized to allow re-capping the cases in the field with mebbe a toothpick, and a finger pressure pellet seat on an internal lip in the case. With the smaller volume in the case the result would be more velocity........ Mebbe use the .20 cal Sheridan pellets with a paper patch... Yes, I enjoy my lunacy. | You're on to something there Dan,,,I have a vision that has a pice of brake line and epoxy inside of a spent case that has a bit of an oversize primer pocket.I don't think you're gonna generate enough heat to affect the epoxy after a full cure, and the length of the line would control the depth,, make 3 or 4 and fill the mag.,,,without a lot of setting up and machining Clay |

I'd think someone with a grinder and an imagination could convert a .22 lr semi-auto that would cycle the CBs. DigitalDan and I discussed that very possibility with the 550-1 he gave me.
