The firearms industries are abound with rumors of plant closings and cutbacks. The spokesman for the NCSSF (national cratshooting shooting sports foundation) said he as he understands it that Remington, Winchester, Ruger Smith and Wesson, Kimber and several other major firearms manufacturers are cutting jobs and production. Ammunition and reloading component manufacturers are following suit. Several smaller manufacturers, especially those involved in making dangerous game rifles are on the verge of closure. According to the spokesman the cause of this is reportedly the death of Birman XO. He further states and without really dangerous game in the U.S. all we have to fear is fear itself, and that doesn't sell guns. At least one lawmaker is authoring a bill to outlaw the use of the 45/70 on dangerous game due to death of this feared international figure. Followers of Birman say that while he had many kin, none are able to strike fear into the hearts of cratshooters. It is yet to be seen what effect this will have on the national economy, the war in Iraq, or the upcoming elections.

I heard a cat-lovin' bunch of wegans, libs, and dems started that based on new "scientific" findings attributed to the school of WISHFUL THINKING prevalent in those communities. They utterly failed to account for the fast growing sensibilities of upcoming generations particularly with the use of the 45-70 for ranch cougars and felonious felines. "Cats don't walk when the gubmint bullet talk".
