Well, animal control wouldn't help, and the Chiminese neighbor wouldn't eat them. What did they expect? Confused Sometimes the only law is applied by common sense.

We have alot of Ferel Cats here. One of my nieghbors called and asked animal control and they wont do squat either, not even loan a trap. Another nieghbor, freak thats gone now, used to dump bags of cat food all over his front yard to feed the wild crats.

You could have added a little cyanide to the pile. He he he. Or just set up a tree stand and use the pile as bait. I have a freak cat lady in my neighborhood too. this lady has like 50+ cats most feral that she feeds. They make their way into my yard often but only once. My landlord has a standing order to eliminate the problem, There is one orange Tabby he really wants gone, but that lawn lion is very elusive.
cheers

We have a leash law in our county as well, but do you think that makes a bit of difference to pet owners? The dog owners in our neighborhood keep their pooches inside their yards via fencing, but the cat owners are another matter. So, again, no help from animal control or the sheriff, so it is Havahart and Sheridan and Ruger to the rescue.

The un-written story is actually,,Due to arthritis,,it was getting harder and harder for her to accurately throw and retrieve her rolling pin,,So planned an easier mode of defense to protect the birds she dearly loves and enjoys watching more than the nieghbors crats puking, pissing, shitting,,and eating birds that happen to be in her yard,,, www.pleaseallowmetointroducemyself.com ,,,,,,,,,,,Clay

The serious thing about it is, she could get 3 yrs in jail for doing something that would not even be looked at as a crime by sane people.

All's well and good until you go outside one night and find 4 cats stretched out on the hood of your car.

You know what's obscene? the possibility that she'd serve three years in jail over a pair of cats, that's just wrong...

Yeah. Rape and kill a five year old and it's doubtful you'd even get that.

Life is messed up. Period.

This question might reflect badly on my morals, but WHY DID SHE ADMIT TO IT? I'd have hidden the can and (if I were her) given the cops the "sweet 'lil 'ol lady would you like some cookies with your coffee officer?" routine.
HERE IS WISDOM!
