I lived in Kentucky for a year. It is a beautiful state; too bad it's inhabited by a bunch of Kentuckians. Who the hell do they think they are, part of the south? They are farther north than half of Illinois and Indiana.

Kentucky combines the worst traits of the North and the South. A bunch of inbred bastards, with hatchet faced 75 pound shriveled up hags at the age of 29, or 500 pound welfare whores with 12 kids from 14 different fathers.

The state gets buried in snow every single freaking year in their annual snowstorm, yet the state doesn't own a single freaking piece of snow equipment, or a driver who understands how to drive in that "funny white stuff".

Knob Creek gun range is the only good thing about the state, as well as the Maker's Mark distillery.

Their "accent" is the most irritating, fingernails on chalkboard sound in the world.

Their women are extremely attractive for about two weeks. It's then that they borrow the one good dress in town, go up to Louisville or to the Fort Knox Officers' club, and get knocked up by some poor sap of a soldier or city slicker.

Otherwise, the state is fine.

Sorry, no re-enactment stories. I'm a little too busy with my current hobby of "enactment".

I'm a member of Camp 1744 or Forrest's Orphans out of Calhoun, KY. Do you do any reenacting? If so, what bunch are you with.

I do not. With traveling to work, and a very sick wife, no time. Her kidney disease does require me to provide a lot of venison though,(she needs the high protien, low fat, low colesterol meat in her diet), so I spend as much time with her as work, and her dialysis shedule allows, and normally our weekends are used up managing our place for the deer and turkey. And yes, the camp is out of Memphis.

120mm, I share a similar opinion of the immediate confines of Boone, NC. Passing thru there is scenic, but if you stop make sure Rod Serling is your copilot. Wink

Man-o-Man, talk about a bonfire...

Thanks for pointing that out Tony. roflmao I have a nephew that started lurking here awhile back, a dabbler of the art of the gun, not the seriously deranged loonies like most of us. I told him to post if he felt the need, but above all else not to try to BS people here. Now you know why. thumb

Well, nothing much else happening at the moment. Saw a grey fox yesterday AM, right near the place where the bluehair asked "Have you seen the fox". Now I have seen the fox. Fairly big one too, now I understand how he handled her crats. Wink Well, I left the #1 in the rack. Anything that kills crats is okay by me. thumb I thought leaving them in the street where she'd find them was a nice touch as well. beer
