I think there should be a way to load cats (and small dogs) into the traps at the skeet and trap range. But maybe to break them you'd have to switch to #6 shot instead of the usual #8 or #9?

The way to do that involves mounting a 4x18" piece of pvc on the trap arm, stuffing the crats in head first, then gettin' hell out of the way! Eeker They are hell for pissed when they come out of the pipe buddy, be ready! Wink

For hevens sake KEEP SIMPLE kiddies!!! Every good trap(sorry I ment cat ) Shooter knows ya cant fit a cat on the plate! thats why the good lord in his wisdom gave us long handled square mouthed shovels! Big Grin I always recomend (a) snow shovels or (b) coal shovels for small dogs normaly to the size of Poodle roflmao

Cats are a bit big for a clay target thrower and also the're not very aerodynamic, I think building a propane powered cannon to fire the cat into the air would be more sucsessful, also you could use it at night as the afterglow from the propane will make it far easier to track the cat accross the night sky. jump

deciple of keith ,which part of the flinders are you in?? I used to live in Leigh Creek

had a couple of guys down the road amuse themselves by making a big potato gun, using acetylene and launching kittens as possing semi's on the highway. They finally got into trouble with the whole thing when they start putting capes on the cats

I am not sure of the loading in a trap at the skeet range, but a quick dip in Liquid Nitrogen should help with the breaking problem. If I remember correctly from my Jr. High School Science show.
