Well, I'm back early. My partner couldn't stay away from that fine little Irish wife of his any longer. We saw 0 Elk, no wild crats but did see Moose everyday but nothing legal. Saw several nice Bears but again nothing to really brag about. The biggest would have gone maybe 6ft2 and was a slightly reddish brown but another hunter on that property had right of first refusal and he wanted it. Silly bugger wounded it and it got away. While he was tracking it he took a young legal bull Moose 100 yards from our trailer. Dang the luck!!! We saw quite a few Deer,Archery Bucks only though and we only had 3 days of it so no Bucks for us, and the hog ranch was put out of business by the govt after their pig escape episode. So, we had to settle for buying and bringing home 2 young Bison, again. Did pick up a mess of "ditch chickens" though and they will make for good eats,we already had some in the camp. I think for me personally the high point was meeting Mauser98 up there. He is a member here, at huntingbc.ca and canadiangunnutz.com and I think he will also be dropping in to BO for a look see. He had several complimentary things to say about some of you guys too, he enjoys reading some of your works. derf Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati

Nothing too complicated PT. Hogs are escape artists and this rancher was unprepared for it. A bunch of them got loose and an immediate execution order was put out on them. By the time we got up there the situation was pretty much took care of by the local farm boys and the govt sort of finished it. DL, Ms Li, he did not mention you by name but I have no doubt that you were at the top of the list! (Hows that for some fancy tap dancing!!??) derf Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati

A friend had 6 get loose from him.No need to shoot em. (yet) We Cowboyed (Pigboyed?) em w/rope around any leg we could manage, just leave noose on ground til stepped in,drug em back to pen with four-wheelers. The bigger ones didn't like to draft too well. Got alotta wild pigs down in the bowels of Boone County.Darndest country I've seen in this State.Mostly steep,as in very, mountainest terrain.Hard hunting for sure, but worth it if ya get one. A friend shot a 150 pounder (they don't get real big like pen raised.)and he gave me a few cuts.A little drier and chewier than I'm used to.But the flavor was fantastic without being gamey like bear.
