it is being advertised as having a 20" shielin barrel, they do not have shilen barrels according to remington. there is a plether of dealers advertising these rifles and they all say they downloaded the info from remington.

just though i would let all know when i called remington they said "the 547 custom shop rifle comes with the match shilen barrel."
my dealer offered to take the rifle back, i declined since it shoots pretty good.
they are changing the advertisement.


anyone heard anything different?

I have two, one has a Leupold VXII 3-9 the other has a Burris Fullfield II.

Both shoot about as well as the Anschutz I have.


I could care less if the barrel is from Remington's hammer forge or from Shilen as they are both half inch guns.
