More traditional recipes have the cat wrapped in 2 layers of foil and placed on the manifold shroud until the fourth rest stop. I dunno about all the way to NYC.

Right time of year down here, you don't even need to look for love bugs, road kill crat will have 30-40 of them before he stops rolling.

Radiator poached cat often needs a subtle hint of sun dried love bug to be truly magnificant. The taters do go well with boiled cat though. In that case I like a small turnip added for humility. ned
