Hello. I am having trouble seating a fully loaded (5 rounds) magazine into my Savage. It spits all the rounds out into the magazine well when I try. It's also difficult loaded down to 4, 3, 2 rounds. Even empty the magazine is pretty finicky. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm wondering if I need to send the magazine back or not. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I guess I'm the only one.

The only problem I had was the floor plate wanted to slide off, so I pinched the edges of it with pliers, problem solved. Never had what you're decribing. I would advise trying another mag.

I have not had a problem but when I ordered extra mags for mine from savage they needed the serial number as they were differences in some of the mags. I would give savage a call.

Thanks, guys! Appreciated. I figured that would be the consensus. Mike, I'm surprised to hear that they would need a serial number to match up the magazine. I wonder if I have the "wrong" one in mine. I'll call them tomorrow.

Ive had to bend the lips on the top of mags in on a couple 93's I had to keep the rounds from spitting back out, but never had quite what you are describing.

If you haven't figured your problem out you might want to check out http://www.rimfirecentral.com
There will be a savage sub-forum. I'd bet you'll find an answer there.
