Beautiful. Very very nice all the way around!

Is it very common for Nyala to show that much white tip as yours does? - EB

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass.
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you've cheated the man in the glass

David,
That looks very good. Next best thing to a full body mount, in my opinion. Yours is nearly identical to what my taxidermist is doing for my Nyala. The pedestals are a little different, but otherwise, the same.

Looks great!

You guys are kill-un me!! I want an Nyala BAD!! Hope to have one this time next year!
Your animal is a wonderfull trophy! Very nice!
Just one comment about the mount. The inside ear color looks to be ....... and it may be the photo.... wrong. They usualy have, like kudu, a pinkish orange color with dark spots. You may check your feild photos and see. It would be an easy thing to fix.....if needed.
Again, very nice!

From the nyala that I have seen they all had white tips, some more than others.

bo-n-aro, you are correct about the inside ear color I did not notice. Will have to get that fixed, thanks.

From the time I first wanted/planning to go to Africa, some 30 years ago, I have allways wanted an nyala. Finally got mine last year and could not be happier.

Beautiful Mount. I noticed in the picture that you have a wood stove insert in your fireplace. If you use this stove, please be careful of your Taxidermy that is anywhere near it. The heat and dryness will crack your wood pedestal and eventually cause your Trophys to fade and loose their color.

Thanks for the info about the wood stove, I had not thought about that. Since we have mild winters down here in GA, it has not been used in several years.

Nice mount -- I posted it on another board to show what a nice pedestal looks like. If you mind I can delete it.
