A couple of mounts from last season
I recently had two mounts from last season arrive home.
The Red deer I had done in a "roaring" mount and it is a mate for one I had done a while ago.

The second was a "lop sided" Fallow deer.

A couple of photos.

Yes a lot of time spent in the bush to get them. Some great memories.

Great mounts/taxidermy John.

Now, for my big question! Please tell about the snake!

Thanks mate.

Yes the snake. I bought that skin at a trash and treasure sale in about 1975 for $6. I was going to use in for leather work but could never bring myself to cutting it up.
Glad I kept it now. I think it is a anaconda. Anyway it looks OK on the wall now.

Thanks. .

I have been on a lot of elk hunts in the states. However, never hunted a stag. Looks like fun!

Mostly but the roaring red deer are sitting on olive.

Here a couple of pedestals I made from native Red Gum tree roots.

Thanks EddieWalker,
Yes the tree roots came up OK I reckon. Just a big of work cleaning them up but worth the effort.
