I'm thinking of making an order on a couple of books as reference in the final planning stages of my new trohy room.

I see the Great Hunters vol 1-6 is avail through Safari Press.
Which of these volumes would provide the best inputs on a modest sized trophy room. Remember I'm not building a museum. Smiler

That's a tough one.....the first three had a good mix of large and small. Later ones seem to have more of the mega rooms and many more detailed photos of each collection. I've borrowed ideas from each volume. Better buy the entire set.

I might buy the hole set. The budget on my new room is ruined anyway, so another few dollars for the book set wouldn't do to much damage. Big Grin

Thanks!

Anyone knows if there's other books than "Great hunters vol 1-6" that would provide similar input?

There is another series called "Trophy Rooms Around the World." I can't comment on how great it is though since I've never seen it, but I do recall hearing they are much more difficult to get a hold of.

The "Great Hunters; Their Trophy Rooms & Collections" is a great series. I have 3,4 and 5 and notice that the quality of the book seems to improve as the volumes increase. The earlier volumes seem to have more trophy rooms, but less photos of each of them. The newer volumes have less trophy rooms in them, but they have more pages of photos dedicated to each room (a plus I think). As Rembrandt said, the rooms do seem to get more extravagant and larger as the series increases.

I'd say get them all if you can. One of the beauties of seeing all the different trophy rooms is you get all ends of the spectrum from 4 walls of heads to a former gym converted into one giant diorama. You can see what you like and borrow ideas accordingly.
