We started on a minor remodel Monday. I do not want to add on to the house yet, so we are raising the roof out in the Man Cave about five feet in an area eight feet by fourteen feet.
My stuff ships in a week or so from SA.

I will figure out how to post pics shortly.

With any luck, I should have all of my trophies from RSA in place as well.
You remember my living room? I had the buff on the wall facing the front door. It stuck out 43 inches from the wall. My wife just about flipped when she saw it.

Look forward to seeing the two of you in two months.

Hey Rich did you put up plywood to add anchor points for heavy mounts?
I have heard guys say it really makes placement easier and more secure.

Yes. I figured where I wanted my Buff, and it coincided with where we had to run two 2"x12" full length of the room/roof bracing. It is almost done, and I hope to run the pictures shortly.

We are getting close! I got a letter from F&F yesterday in the mail. My stuff is sitting in their warehouse, all it needs is a bank draft and it will be good to go to Idaho.

To the bank and the PO, and on the way.

I have been taking pictures, as soon as the mounts are all up and the bookcases in place I promise I will run the sequence for you all.
It shows, imho, what can be done in a small space without a lot of $$$ outlay.

Indeed, it was not. When you are remodeling a room, raising the ceiling from 8 feet to 12 feet 5 inches, rewiring the entire back end of the shop area, running cable wire in, hanging track lights from the ceiling and a couple walls, laying tile and carpet and trying to correct a few original home builder "oopsies"; things can get away from you. I am still building some book cases, and painting them.

The plan was to have everything finished this Friday, and photos up by Saturday morning.

However, not to disappoint my loyal following, if I can get the Computer Nerd Nephew over in the morning, I will attempt to get Phase I posted here tomorrow. My new Nikon D90 and I are headed out now for a few shots.

thanks for reminding me...

regards,

Rich

Ta-Da!!!

The construction phase was fun, raising the roof for a 9 foot deep by 14 foot wide area.

I will get the rest of the pictures up in a day or so.

Rich - Great looking project, keep up the good work. As far as the D90 goes, only one button needed, the one on top that goes click. Wink

Thanks Rusty, and the rest of you.

It is mostly to show what a middle class guy who wants to hunt Africa badly enough can do on a reasonable budget.

Ditto on what Rich said.
